At Peet’s, we’ve been artisan roasting beans for over 40 years. That’s how our founder, Alfred Peet, began crafting his coffees back in 1966. He maximized taste by selecting superior beans and hand-roasting them in small batches.
From buying to roasting to packing, we obsess over every detail to ensure our beans are as fresh and flavorful as possible. In fact, we’re so devoted to freshness that, unlike many other coffee companies, we personally hand deliver each bag right to the grocery store shelf. Sounds a little crazy, but we just can’t imagine doing it any other way.
Believe it or not, coffee is a lot like fresh-baked bread or freshly-popped popcorn in that they all taste best when they’re fresh. That’s why we roast to order and personally deliver extra fresh and tasty beans right to your grocery store.
And in those (rare) instances that our beans are on the shelf for over 90 days, we replace them with a fresher bag. Other coffee brands could sit on the shelf for up to one year. That doesn’t sound too fresh, does it?
At the end of the day, what matters most to you (and therefore matters most to us) is taste. We make bold, rich, flavorful coffees from the highest quality beans in the world.
Some people are so fanatical about the flavor of Peet’s that they have us ship it to them across the globe. Fortunately, you only have to visit your local grocery store to pick up Peet’s and experience the Fresh Truth yourself.
If your bag of Peet’s Coffee does not meet our exacting freshness standards, we’ll replace it or give you your money back. No questions asked.
